Vintage Bouquet - Retro Designs at Deco-Pages.com ~ this ornate art nouveau influenced kit with its silky floral backgrounds in various shades of rose is perfect for feminine or romantic pages and my two LOs of Aunt Allie Rae's angels.



My LO - Crystal~Brass Angels



We gave Allie Rae the Crystal Angels years ago for Christmas and she has enjoyed them so much. Don't know the history of the brass angels although, now that I think about it, the large one here may be ceramic that she covered with gold foil and inked.

I was in awe as I watched this LO come together...how perfect is Helen's Vintage Bouquet for scrapping these vintage angels...Allie Rae has had them for many, many years!

Here's my LO ~ Pink Angels

When I last visited Aunt Allie's home, I took pictures of all her wonderful angels. I too collect angels and plan to print and frame these LOs for my computer/angel room.

My LO - Summertime Watermelon



Took these watermelon pictures of Avery during Luke's 4th birthday party. She was perfectly content to sit in her red chair, eating watermelon, and watching all the kids play on the water slide. She had many pieces of watermelon that day!

Picnics and Patriots by Sharon Craven had everything I needed to scrap these cute pics of Avery...the kit also has a yummy hamburger and hot dogs, fireworks, and much more!

My LO ~ Ant and Aunt



These are clips I made from photos of Luke's first day home and old pics of my middle daughter, Aunt Tonia, when she was actually still in the hospital...they really favored each other. The clip on the right is Aunt Tonia holding Luke. The top left clip is a photo of Luke's mom, Jennifer, brushing her new baby sister, Tonia, her first day home.

The little ants in Picnics and Patriots by Sharon Craven reminded me that I had always wanted to scrap these photos for Luke's ABC book. This kit even had the perfect papers for these photos!

Creating Today with Pearl of the Ocean Tide Pool AddOn Kit by RoseMadeDesigns

After the formal cap and gown and diploma presentation, the kids presented an adorable ocean theme program...cute songs and each child recited a verse that began with their letter of the alphabet. Luke selected L and V for his initials.

I post this with a heavy heart...we spent last weekend with Allie Rae who is reaching the end of her life here on earth. Her health is failing and though she's very ready to move on to glory, she will be missed. She will be 91 on October 9th should the Lord delay her going home until then.

Creating Today with Penguin Power by Carol Rupley

This photo was part of the invitation of my nephew's first birthday party. Just too cute...had to scrap it with this wonderful Penguin Power kit by Carol Rupley!




My Great Aunt Jimmie had some wonderful adventures especially for 1914. This post card was mailed from Germany to her older sister Bessie in Texas.



These penguins were at Germany's most successful privately owned zoo, the Tierpark Hagenbeck, which was moved to its present location in Hamburg-Stellingen in 1907.

I love heritage photos and am blessed to have many from my Grandmother and Granddaddy Thomas side of the family!

I loved using Romantic Moments Kit by Michaele Burkhart at Deco-Pages to feature some of the photos I have of my Great Aunt Jimmie. Yes, her name was Jimmie and she was called Jim most of the time. Actually, I just found a group picture that had her listed as Jimmie Carrie Thomas Dietrichs.

This is my first LO ~ Vintage Romance!

This post card sent by Jimmie to her sisters had the stamp and post mark missing. I have other cards sent that were dated 1914 and she was married to Karl not Joe...so I can only guess this was sent in the early 1900s.

Here's my 2nd LO ~ Great Aunt Jimmie

So far I haven't found anything to document a name other than Jim or Jimmie. She sign all post cards I have to her sisters as Jim...maybe some day I'll do a genealogy search and learn more. Love the collection of photos of Aunt Jimmie.
