I digiscrapping and my favorite place to scrap online has been with my friends at Deco-Pages! I was a member Creative Team for 4 1/2 years and had the opportunity to make LOs for all the wonderful designers at Deco-Pages. The site is now closed and I miss it so VERY much!

I am taking a break from my digital scrapping...but to prevent withdrawal symptoms, I am on two Creative Teams for now! Check out their blogs and watch here for my layouts with their great kits!

Double Gem in the Sky

I found the treasure of a photo while searching through my files looking for another photo.  It made me instantly think of all the gems and the wonderful "Pastel Swirls" background paper in Flight of Fancy.  This photo was taken from my front yard.  The sky was too dark for a whole double rainbow, but was thrill I was able see half of the this amazing site.  Also love how Helen's butterflies mirror all the colors in the sky...double rainbow, double butterflies...double promises of life.

You can find a preview of this kit, Flight of Fancy HERE and you can also pick up this lovely QP while you are there!

Avery's First Ballet Class

The only time I saw this many smiles at Avery's soccer games was when the games were over and they were passing out treats or trophies!  I think she's found her niche!  Jennifer said the next day when she picked Avery up after work, Avery wanted to know where her ballet clothes were...Avery was disappointed to learn she only had ballet class once a week!

I purchased this adorable kit before Deco-Pages closed it's store just in case Avery ever started ballet classes.  You can follow this link to Jennifer's blog, Angels Digi Scraps.

In Loving Memory ~ A Photo Treasure

Today is Dad's birthday (January 18, 1926 - December 29, 2007) and I scrapped this page with tears in my eyes.  I miss my Dad but celebrate all the loving memories I will always have of him.

I have this Photo Treasure hanging on my wall.  Written on the back in my grandmother's handwriting is, "Lajuana has asked me for this picture.  Mom"  I was probably 8-10 years old at the time and I still remember standing and looking at this photo and asking Grandmother if I could have it some day.  Dad is on the left and his twin sister is on the right.  His older sister standing behind them died of diabetes not long after this photo was taken.  If you look close, the babies are sitting on a coyote hide and holding carnations.  The convex picture and glass made it impossible to scan so I remove the glass and took a picture to use in this page.

Helen's distressed candleholder, duck, and frame are right at home with this photo and frame that are slightly distressed as well. You can find previews of Shabby Chic Rooms Part 2 HERE!  You might even find a freebie or two!

Christmas Angel

Noel Nouveau is a lovely Christmas kit. Just had to make one more page using this kit before moving on to  Shabby Chic Rooms Collection Part 2 now featured on Retro Designs blog.  When you visit Helen's Kit Preview Page, scroll all the way through and you might just find a freebie or two!

Got this picture of Reese during Christmas. I found this page I made for Reese's first Christmas using Helen's contribution to the Toys for Tots Kit at Deco-Pages.  So hard to believe a year has gone by!

Bryce, Jordyn, and Reese

Since you can't see my new photos hanging on my wall...I couldn't resist this mini freebie Jan posted on her website Waite For The Moment Designs...it reminded me of these pictures Tonia gave me when they came for Christmas.  She even had a background paper to use for framing that was very similar to this one in Jan's kit.  Reese is very lucky to have such a special big brother and sister and they all will have a new brother in June...maybe on Nana's birthday!

A few of these pictures were on our Christmas photo card from the kids.  I made the two journaling labels using my DIS2006.

Abundant Life

Just got these photos from my friend and wanted to scrap a LO for her since I have been so wrapped up in my own family Christmas events that I haven't even sent her a Merry Christmas wish.  These are two of my favorite pictures and Retro Design's Vintage Patina kit was perfect to scrap them.

These little guys are very dear to my heart though I have never met them.  Their Mom and I met online when Owen, now 5, was just 7 months old.  We both have MG and through the years Lindsay has become like a daughter to me.  Also shown is Noah, now 3, and Isaac, now 1, and Levi, 1 month old.  Levi was delivered at 33 1/2 weeks due to a possibility of a still birth...so much to be celebrated in the coming year as you can see Levi is doing wonderful and has 3 special big brothers!
