I digiscrapping and my favorite place to scrap online has been with my friends at Deco-Pages! I was a member Creative Team for 4 1/2 years and had the opportunity to make LOs for all the wonderful designers at Deco-Pages. The site is now closed and I miss it so VERY much!

I am taking a break from my digital scrapping...but to prevent withdrawal symptoms, I am on two Creative Teams for now! Check out their blogs and watch here for my layouts with their great kits!

Surprise for Nana!

The day after Thanksgiving, the door bell rang and it was Jennifer, Luke, and Avery.  Luke came through the door saying...we are here to put up your Christmas Tree...my what a wonderful surprise!  I really wasn't able to go up and down the attic stairs this year and had decided there may not be a tree since Tony isn't a big fan of all the work it takes to put the tree up.  All the stars, sparkles, and Christmas elements of Noel Nouveau helped to make this page as magical as the day was for Nana!
Noel Nouveau is a lovely Christmas kit.  If you have not seen the preview be sure and go HERE...you might find a Christmas present, too!

The Blessing of Friendship

Journaling
And, suddenly on my computer desk there appeared a package from Germany. Inside was a “thank you” gift from Helen and this wonderful handmade Christmas Card! After a chorus of oh my and oh my goodness, I opened the blog and these angelic figures greeted me! Instantly I was driven to scrap a page.I have been truly blessed by this lady known first as Retro Designs, then Helen, and now my friend!
I am totally amazed with the punching technique used by Helen to make the pattern inside the star...it was hand not computer generated! The thank you gift for helping Helen build her blog is a pocket-sized notebook with a lovely cross stitched floral pattern added to the cover...thank you my friend for such a special gift!

Playing in Papa & Nana's Leaves

Vintage Patina has some amazing elements and these were prefect for
"Let The Fun Begin!" and "Key to my Heart"

The day before Thanksgiving, Luke and Avery were out of school and they wanted to come to Nana's for a while.  The leaves were starting the fall and we were able to rake up a pretty big pile.  Here's Avery all buried in leaves!

Since Deco-Pages.com has been closed, Helen and I designed a blog for her where she can post previews of her kits and followers can pick up a freebie every once in a while.  Check out Retro Desigs blog HERE!

"Touch of Patina"
This pot belonged to my mother-in-law.  I had an ivy growing in it which was dying because it needed to be moved to a larger pot. This wonderful patina was left  inside the pot...makes a lovely display without a plant!  You can find previews of  Vintage Patina HERE and some freebies, too!

Christmas Greetings to You!

I was going through some of my Photo Impact files and look what I found...Merry Christmas to all of you out there!

This was made from a photo I took of one of our cedar trees with a light frost on it.
I made all the ornaments using Photo Impact...the angel and dove were made with a tutorial and the blinkie light was another PI tutorial.
This is our house one year when we had a snow...the snowman I don't remember making it so sorry, not sure.  This is our actual wood burning stove which is going strong these past few days...watch close and you will see the flame flickering!

This snow globe was from another PI tutorial...my Luke and Avery have grown since making the one!
The wooden snow man and country snowman aren't blinkies...just some more tutorials I used to make some Christmas items!

This little country santa was added to a LO I did using Deb Ammerman's kit "Lookin Good"

Avery's Christmas Program

Avery has been singing the songs of the Christmas program for weeks now.  She knew every word to every song.  She has been talking about this program and looking forward to it.  You never know, she may have a future in drama.
Avery sang louder than any other angel in the angel choir.  It amazes me that she is SO shy around people, but standing in front of tons of people in a crowded sanctuary, she belts out the tunes.    ~Avery's Mom

A Christmas Wish!

Love this frosty blue Ice Pattern 1 background from Noel Nouveau by Retro Designs and it is so perfect for this picture of Luke who recently lost both front teeth at the same time.  One was very loose and dangling...the other not, but a "mouth butt" during a rough and tumble game with Luke's dog Sadie took them both out at the same time!   Go HERE to see three previews of Noel Nouveau...keep a close watch as a freebie is coming soon!
