I digiscrapping and my favorite place to scrap online has been with my friends at Deco-Pages! I was a member Creative Team for 4 1/2 years and had the opportunity to make LOs for all the wonderful designers at Deco-Pages. The site is now closed and I miss it so VERY much!

I am taking a break from my digital scrapping...but to prevent withdrawal symptoms, I am on two Creative Teams for now! Check out their blogs and watch here for my layouts with their great kits!

Creating Today with Lacy Days by Ice Princess Scrapz

Love this photo of DH's mother and father taken when they were newly weds. Gotta love the tipped hats of the service men back then!

Lacy Days by Ice Princess Scrapz can be found here:

Recently scanned photos of my DH's mother...shown here are the years 1922-1952. The colored one in the center is my favorite.

A Few Deco-Pages Challenge LOs

Decided to post a few of my Deco-Pages Challenge LOs...these are so fun to do!

Template Challenge - This LO was chosen as Layout of the Day!

Wasn't sure I was going to do this challenge this month, but when I saw the photos for electronic sharing of Reese's studio session I knew I wanted to use them in this template!

Quote Challenge

Pretty simple LO...no elements seem to work so I just made up this word art of the quote...that was fun to do. Used a technique I learned at a paper scrapping retreat and over wrote on top of the word SMILE. Used a mask on the photo to add dots to the page. Didn't have time to search for a brown background paper, so I made this one using a filter to make more dots for the LO! Simple LO but fun!

Font Challenge - Use provided font in a LO...this month's font was Buttons and Patches

I can make LOs using the previews of Reese's studio picture...they are great online but can't be printed as the resolution is very low.

Brag Book (4x6 pages that can be printed like a picture) Challenge - Use the word Thanks in the LO!

I have always adored this picture of Avery with her eyes closed...came across it again while looking for Thanks pics....and here my brag book page! Didn't add any elements this time.

Material Girl Challenge - One photo, 2 papers, 5 elements

Lyric Challenge - LO of Doggies!

From Jennifer's blog...perfect pics for the Challenge...notice the change in the lyrics of the song as Sadie came from Craig's List!

Here's last months Lyrice Challenge - couldn't scrap just one baby...had to do all three!

Color Challenge - Use a certain color palette to make 5 LOs...Club members get a Starter kit free which I generally use for my Color Challenge LOs. Make 3 LOs and you get an addition to the kit...make 5 and get another reward addition to the kit! Here's two of my 5 LOs with the kit.

Heritage Challenge - Photo with more than 3 people and must name them all and give info about the photo.

Luke's Lego Truck - Layout Of The Day

Loved how this LO turned out and just saw this morning that it was chosen LOTD for Monday. I think Luke will like it when he sees it! I was great that I had this photo that makes it look like Luke is looking at his fantasy road trip!

LOTD Comments: Another day and hard to choose just one of the wonderful layouts! My pick for Monday is scrapladyandmore's Lego Truck with its delightful fantasy road trip.

Luke with just a little help from Nana made this truck from Legos while Avery was taking her nap. Just realized as I extracted the truck that he had the pipes turned down...bet he catches that when he's older.

Easy2Riders by Cornelia Designs worked great to make an imaginary road trip for Luke's Lego truck!
You can find the kit here:
http://www.deco-pages.com/product.php?productid=18721&cat=0&page=5

Will be making another LO with this kit...thinking about using Luke's Lego ATV's for that one!

Decided to make a LO on Tony's Colorado Elk Hunt instead...I don't scrap him much so it was a nice change!

DH got to go elk hunting with some guys he had worked with years ago. Since he took pictures, I don't have him on his ATV, but he was rigged up just like these. Though he didn't bring home an elk for the freezer, he had blast riding the rough terrain and just having a fun guy week in the mountains!

Easy2Riders by Cornelia Designs had some great rough and tough papers and elements to make this guy LO for DH!

Keep scrolling to Gone Fishing Post...Words of Wisdom was also chosen LOTD last week!

Luke, One Kewl Shaving Dude!

The minute I saw Lookin' Good by Deb Ammerman I knew it was perfect to scrap my DGS, Luke...One Kewl Saving Dude! Took a few days to find the photos...can't believe this was taken in 2007. They do grow up fast...but, at least, it will be quite a few more years before Luke is shaving for real.

Journaling
Dad's razor was off limits, but that was OK because you had your own Lightening McQueen Shaving Kit!

Creating Today with Gone Fishing by Lion Designs

Believe it or not, I do scrap photos other than those of my grandkids...LOL!

The minute I saw this kit, I knew I wanted to scrap this picture of my Dad taken in the early 40s. These antique fishing catalog papers were so perfect. Once I scanned the photo and got it into the computer I was able to see these are catfish hanging on his line! This kit has tons of different fish.

Journaling in Dad's handwriting
"What everyone should do at least half of their life!'

Not sure which Dad loved the most...hunting or fishing...but I could almost safely say that he spent at least half of his life doing one or the other! Ten days of family vacation each summer for many years were spent in Colorado fishing...wished we had some photos of those trips!

Gone Fishing by Lion Designs can be found here
http://www.deco-pages.com/product.ph...t=0&page=2

When the girls were small we went to Colorado 2 summers on vacation...found these photos of them fishing. Note that only one shows Dad in it...he usually got a ways from them leaving Mom to deal with the tangled lines...LOL!

Love, love this kit by Lion Designs...there's even some papers with sea fish and anchors for deep sea fishing photos...great frames, too!

Creating Today with Fruity Tooty by Dream Catchers Scrapping

Reese's Aunt Dusty and cousins Anna and Mia came for a visit at the hospital. They wanted to give kisses and Aunt Dusty had a great idea...let's kiss Baby Reese's toes...playing it safe with all that is going around this time of the year.

Nana made the quilt and crib rail vail...Grandmommy made
the bumper pads, dust ruffle, and sheet. Papa didn't know
that he was going to be in the picture...just holding up the
quilt for Nana...next time Nana will have him smile...LOL!

All the cute flowers and swirls of Fruity Tooty by Dream Catchers Scrapping were perfect for the all girl LO!

I'm The Big Brother

Bryce gets to introduce Reese to my Deco Friends!
This is the first LO of Reese that I posted online. I made
this using Michaele's Template #36! Her Template Challenge
was a perfect way for Bryce to show off pictures of Reese!

Posting Comments: I'll let Bryce introduce you to Reese Taylor Brown...our new little DGD. Poor Bryce was sick and didn't get to hold Reese before we had to come home so I don't have any pics of him with her yet.

Michaele's Template #36 was perfect for Bryce to show off some pictures of Reese.

Journaling
I was sick and didn’t get to come see you in the hospital. I thought about you all day and hoped that I would get better fast so I could hold you when you come home. I love you.
Your Big Brother,
Bryce
